The Crossing Church has always been a community where we want to grow in our knowledge of God together so that we love him deeply and accurately share him with the world. Outside of the normal rhythms of Sunday Gatherings and Life Group, we offer a set of core seminars that help us to equip our church body.

The following are a list of our Equip Seminars that we offer once a year. These seminars are stand alone; you can sign up for each as you desire to go deeper in your knowledge of God and be equipped for gospel ministry within our church. Each Seminar is held over 2 Sundays from 8-9:30am and childcare is provided.

The Doctrine of Scripture - This seminar will discuss the different aspects of divine revelation and explore the nature, reliability and authority of the Bible.  We will discuss the preservation of scripture throughout history and the role that the Bible holds in the life of the church. 

Gospel Centrality and the Christian Community - This seminar will look at the various facets of the gospel and seek to show how the gospel applies to all areas of life. We will further see how the Christian community is fundamentally shaped by these truths and why we are committed to missional communities.

Biblical Anthropology - God’s Design for Men and Women - This seminar will explore the nature of mankind as created in the image of God and discuss the unique design and purpose for which God created men and women.  We will define both egalitarianism and complementarianism and seek to show how scripture supports or rejects these categories. 

An Introduction to Biblical Theology - This seminar will provide an overview to the discipline of Biblical and give a grid to help see the Bible as a unified whole revealing one overarching narrative.  This course will give attention to necessary definitions and tools as well as focus on identifying governing themes and patterns throughout the Bible. 

The Doctrine of the Holy Spirit and Spiritual Gifts - This seminar will dive into the nature and role of the Holy Spirit. We will also take time to discuss the way that spiritual gifts are to function within the local church.

How to Study Your Bible For All It’s Worth - This seminar will give a general overview of biblical interpretation. We will look at foundational methods and practices for more fruitful personal bible reading.
