Grounds Master Plan

The Grounds at our church building are truly a gift from the Lord. We want to steward our resources for his glory. The following is our multi Phase Grounds Master Plan. You can donate to the Grounds Master Plan Fund online here.

We want to create a space that is helpful to fulfill our mission as a church. The Crossing Church exists to make disciples of Jesus Christ, for the glory of God and the joy of his people. We are trusting the Lord to see this vision come to fruition over the next 3-5 years.

PHASE 1: PLAYGROUND

We want the playground to be a useable space for younger kids, older kids and as well as adults. The design has brought this vision with a new play area, multi-use concrete pad and a shaded area for the parents to hang out. We will have a new split rail fence installed around three sides of the play area. The eastern side of the play area will not have a fence and will be open from the grass to the play area. We believe this will be a space for relationships to be formed, established and reproduced throughout the future generations of our church family. Through the generous donation of play equipment, concrete, and labor we believe we can raise the funds and finish phase one by the fall of 2022!

The goal is to raise $35,000 to finish the cost of the Playground. Our desire is to raise these funds by October 16, 2022 and complete Phase 1 of the Master Plan in the fall of 2022!

PHASEs 2 & 3: Native Landscaping

Phases 2 and 3 has the goal of helping reduce our water usage while making the grounds attractive in our city. This two part phase will cover removal of current landscaping and replacing with more water efficient landscaping. This includes native grasses along with shrubs and mulch. Phase 3 will consist of installation of a patio just west of the church building. We are in process of applying for grants to help ease the cost of this phase. Our desire is to have more of a detailed process and cost by the Spring of 2023.

PHASE 4: Entry plaza

Phase 4 will allow for our space to be leveraged for more ministry as folks are coming and going from our Sunday Gathering as well as various events at our church building. We envisioning this plaza as a space where our church family will practice the ‘one another’s’ of our calling as followers of Jesus. We hope to see this come to fruition in 2023 or 2024.

PHASE 5: Rain Garden and Parking Lot Resurface

We have a growing need to resurface our parking lot as it is well worn over the last 30 years. We also want to install a rain garden for natural drainage to occur when we get our monsoonal floods in the spring and summertime. We hope to complete these projects in 2024 & 2025.
